Having been taking open dance classes at O School for more or less three years now, I can vouch that you can always take away something useful there with each class you emerge from. O School is a well-established dance institution in Singapore, so dancers from neighbouring and far-flung countries would normally stop by to groove out for a class or two.
Another bonus I get from taking dance classes is that I get to meet lots of like-minded people. I naturally gravitate and compliment dancers who interpret the insructor's choreography with their own flavor and edgy twist, post-class. The class footage above paved my friend Ira and I to meet Thana - another amazing dancer-choreographer from Bangkok.
If you would look closely at the clip above, Thana's 'lines' and and impeccable musical timing is as precise as a seasoned ballerina. It's such an awe-inspiring treat watching him dance all the time.
Thana regularly teaches Jazz Funk every Wednesday at Groove Studio Bangkok.
